Lulu went hiking on Mt. Falcon in Morrison, CO. The Castle Trail on Mt. Falcon is one of Lulu’s favorites because of the interesting history, the remains of an old stone house built in the early 1900’s and because of the great view of Colorado’s famous Red Rocks Amphitheater!

Lulu apologizes for her lack of adventure this month but with 2 feet of snow in 1 day Lulu wasn’t up for scootin’ around. She will be back next month!

Lulu and her sister Maya love Herman’s Gulch trail! The trip is a little less than an hour’s drive from Denver up I70 and the hike is about 3 hours, so make sure that you have a half a day to spare. Best things in Lulu’s book…… NO LEASHES!, 3 hours of free running, smelling wildflowers, chasing chipmunks and, at the end, frolicking and and stick fetching in Herman’s Lake. Life doesn’t get any better.
Oh, and on your way back to Denver stop in at Grumpy’s Roadhouse in historic Silver Plume to refuel with a burger and recharge with some Live music.

Lulu loves Harvard Gulch because there is so much to do and see; a par 3 golf course, a beautiful community garden, a community recreation center and plenty of trails to run on. Close by are popular Washington Park, Platte Park and Denver University. The neighborhoods boast gorgeous period homes as well as modern new builds. Jut a hop, skip and and a jump from Lulu’s own home is Berkeley Park, located in the North section of the hip Highlands neighborhood. What makes this one of Lulu’s favorites is the off leash dog park! (to read more about Denver’s popular dog parks click here) Lulu joins up with friends there on a regular basis to chase each other and catch up on the latest doggie gossip. What makes Berkeley Park a favorite among many Highlands residents is the local Berkeley Recreation Center, outdoor pool, tennis courts and walking trails. And it’s smack dab across the street from Denver’s much loved (and very vintage) Lakeside Amusement Park. To search for homes in the Berkeley neighborhood click here.
